The script was invited to participate at the Authors-Producers Meetings organised by Maison des scénaristes at the 2017 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

Set against the backdrop of the current European migration crisis, Crossing is an intimate, humanistic portrayal of the way a 90-year-old farmer and a 9-year-old refugee boy touch each other’s souls and make friends in the remote, snowed away Southeastern European countryside completely cut off from civilization. A story told relying exclusively on the visuals with no dialogue. Concentrating on the human connection between an old man and a young boy who find themselves in an extraordinary situation they have never dreamed of. Beauty and hope reached through struggle and suffering.
