1902, Zombor: a small town in the Austro-Hungarian Empire is bewildered by a mysterious string of brutal murders. Marcell Fábián, the young detective of the recently formed town police, starts the investigation with all his might employing the latest methods in crime detection, like examining fingerprints. However, the case becomes more labyrinthine as more and more murders follow and the number of the members of the town’s elite implicated rise. The investigation leads Marcell not only to a couple of dead cases but also to the mysteries of his origin.
