A paediatrician, Eva takes the bold step to give birth to her genetically ill son, Noah. Unable to 
cope with the burden of looking after a sick child 24/7, her husband, Michael gets emotionally distant from his family. After sacrificing her life for Noah's and spending 16 years trying to find a "magical cure" of her imagination for his condition, Eva hits rock bottom emotionally. With a dying son by her side, she desperately tries to find meaning for their existence and a way out of their unbearable misery.
